Texas Campaign for the Environment

About Texas Campaign for the Environment

Texas Campaign for the Environment (TCE) is Texas' largest non-profit environmental organization. With over 40,000 individual members here in the state, we are at the forefront of grassroots efforts to protect our state's environment and public health.

TCE has been fighting for every Texan’s right to clean land, clean air, and clean water since 1991. Our purpose is to organize communities across the state to stand up to big polluters, to keep the pressure on our elected officials to do everything in their power to protect the people they serve, and to keep our homes and livelihoods safe and healthy for the present day as well as the generations to come.

TCE strives to live by the organizational values of intentionality, justice, respect, teamwork, and vision. All employees, as well as the organization as a whole, use these values to guide the work that we take on, as well as how we go about doing that work. These values are used in our organizational strategic planning and our individual performance evaluations. We hold grassroots community engagement as a fundamental value of our organization.

Some of our victories include:
- We were the driving force that established Dell's computer recycling program
- We established curbside recycling programs in Houston, Dallas and Arlington.
- We've mobilized thousands of supporters to slow and stop fossil fuel buildout on the Texas Gulf Coast

TCE is now working to hold polluters accountable to the law while building our strength in numbers to improve our state's regulations on polluting oil and gas industries.

Help protect the planet, knocking on one door at a time!
