Quality Review Specialist
The State of Connecticut, Department of Public Health (DPH) is currently seeking two (2) qualified individuals for the position of Quality Review Specialist. These positions will help support our Facility Licensing and Investigations Section (FLIS), which is part of the Healthcare Quality and Safety Branch. In this critical role, you will perform on-site inspections of Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICFs/IID) and other licensed facilities, ensuring they meet all federal and state compliance standards.
Please note: Candidates who are offered and accept a position with DPH Facility Licensing and Investigations Section must be free from conflicts of interest at the time of appointment and continuously thereafter in accordance with the CT Code of Ethics and complete all required trainings.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
- Location: Hartford, CT
- Work Schedule: Typically Monday - Friday
- Work Shift: Full-time, First Shift
- Work Hours: 35 hours per week

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Be responsible for in-person visits to ICF’s/IID and other facilities to conduct the survey process
- Investigate complaints and unusual occurrences
Observe and evaluate quality of care, quality of life, and resident rights in accordance with regulatory requirements - Prepare inspection reports and narrative reports.
- Monitor emergent situations in ICF’s/IID and other health care institutions (e.g. strike monitoring)
