Accounting and Expense Control Analyst

Bottom Line Refined is a Southern California based consulting firm specializing in the analysis and reduction of select operating expenses. Our goal is to reduce and manage the most challenging expenses businesses face, that leave management with the freedom to focus on what really matters.

As outside Contractors, we help our Clients by:

• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce expenses
• Prioritizing and tracking savings projects
• Analyzing prior billing to identify errors and overbilling
• Identifying alternate vendor pricing
• Benchmarking competitor practices
• Analyzing the data and quantifying the savings
• Working independently and solving problems as they arise
• Meeting with key Client personnel to ensure all relevant factors are taken into consideration
• Monitoring ongoing project savings by performing monthly reconciliation of vendor bills
• Organizing and completing project tasks and responsibilities in an effective, timely and efficient manner

Ideal Applicant:

• Freshman, sophomore or junior accounting major
• Has a college GPA over 3.5 from a top school
• Is able to work 15-20 hours per week during school year,  30-40 hours per week during summer

Qualifications:

• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office suite
• Entrepreneurial, can-do spirit
• Organized, pays close attention to detail
• Can use discretion in confidential situations
• Stress tolerable: Able to perform effectively under pressure and/or opposition; takes criticism well; maintains a “cool-calm” approach in tough situations.
• Persuasive: Effectively communicates to gain commitment, agreement or acceptance of an idea, plan or activity; gets buy-in from others who may be initially opposed to his/her idea; moves others to a specific course of action.
• People oriented: Works well with others and as part of a team; looks to others when assistance is needed; possesses strong interpersonal skills; enjoys interaction and is diplomatic.
