Citizen Outreach and Field Manager
Work to protect our drinking water from toxic chemicals in our citizen outreach and field manager positions.
PFAS are toxic chemicals linked to cancer & developmental problems. When they get into our drinking water, they threaten our health and cost millions to clean up. In Massachusetts, already 172 public water systems have exceeded the legal limit for PFAS.
That’s why in our Boston office, we’re working to pass a bill to get PFAS out of common consumer products and stop companies from releasing them into the ground water.
As a canvasser you will:
- Educate and engage citizens on a campaign to make real change on pressing environmental and public interest issues
- Develop essential communication and political advocacy skills
- Build membership and raise money for nonprofit groups in your community
- Earn leadership opportunities, supervising and managing staff in the field
- Gain the experience and connections needed to launch your career in nonprofit and policy work
At Fund for the Public Interest, we are seeking hard-working individuals with good communication skills and a passion for social change. We are hiring both full-time and part-time staff.
