Video Production Intern - News

(3 months, minimum 15 hrs/wk over 2-3 days)

This is a hands-on position in which you will be directly involved in producing cable and web content right from the start. After initial training in all aspects of television production - including camera operation, audio, lighting, editing, reporting, writing, and more – you will produce your own news packages, assist as needed on other productions, and collaborate with ACMi members and local organizations to produce further content. Your specific responsibilities will include online research, communicating with potential interview subjects, and executing both field and in-studio shoots. Interns will be directly supervised by the News Director or Assistant News Director, and ACMi staff will be generally available as needed to provide support and consultation. At the end of your term, you will leave with a full reel of the various productions you contributed to, including what specific role(s) you took on in each of them.
