Research Support Assistant Level II

An entry level position involving the study of mouse models of Alzheimer’s disease and Down syndrome. The project involves animal husbandry and handling, PCR, and morphological analyses of mouse brain tissues. This position will support Ginsberg laboratory research associates conducting multi-‘omics studies in brain tissues.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Animal handling. 

• Animal husbandry 

• Immunolabeling/histology of fixed tissue 

• General laboratory work/preparation. 

• PCR for genotyping

Qualifications:

• BA/BS or equivalent in a biological field.

• Experience with neuroscience preferred 

• Experience rodent handling preferred  

• Experience with PCR and DNA extraction preferred.
