Part Time Evening Receptionist
PART TIME RECEPTIONIST
POSITION SUMMARY
The Receptionist is the primary point of contact for afternoon and evening visitors to the Performing Arts Center
(PAC), including students, parents, and faculty. This role blends customer service and administrative support, ensuring
a warm, welcoming atmosphere and smooth afternoon and evening operations. The Receptionist plays a vital role in
upholding the professional, student-centered environment of PAC during after-hours programming.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Visitor Engagement & Customer Service
Greet and assist all visitors, providing information about classes, events, and schedules
Direct students and families to appropriate classrooms or staff members
Represent PAC warmly and professionally at all times
Communication & Administrative Tasks
Answer incoming phone calls and respond to voicemails
Maintain clear written communication with the daytime team via PAC email and internal notes
Support administrative duties such as filing, logging visitors, and other light office tasks as requested
Front Desk & Facility Maintenance
Keep the reception area neat, organized, and well-stocked with essential supplies and promotional materials
Perform routine tasks such as cleaning out the PAC fridge (2nd and 4th Fridays of the month)
Participate in occasional projects (under guidance)
Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-focused approach
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and manage a steady flow of visitors and information
High attention to detail and a proactive approach to keeping shared spaces orderly
Willingness to learn new software and administrative tools
Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) or Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Comfortable using email, navigating the internet, and writing clear end-of-shift recaps for team communication
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous front desk, receptionist, or customer service experience.
Interest or background in the performing arts or arts education.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
This role will eventually include use of Opus 1 (scheduling software) as part of evening operations. A dedicated PAC
Gmail account will be provided for this position to support internal communication and shift continuity.
