Community Education Intern

We are recruiting a Community Education & Outreach Programming intern to join our team to assist in the development and implementation of community education programs.
The HSS Community Education & Outreach Department provides programs for patients and the community on prevention, treatment and management of musculoskeletal conditions and other health conditions. HSS Education Institute’s college internship program is designed to give a student the opportunity to gain practical experience in the discipline of public health and community education.
Key internship roles include:
Program Support
- Help with virtual and in-person education and movement programs, including set-up, break-down, attendance, and general day-of coordination
- Provide in-person and phone support to community members for registration, scheduling, and basic tech help
- Contribute to planning and delivering educational workshops and webinars
- Handle preparation tasks and data entry for webinars and workshops
- Assist programming team with other projects and administrative tasks as needed
Marketing Support
- Create email campaigns for upcoming programs
- Help develop flyers and other promotional materials
- Prepare social media posts to promote programs
Qualifications:
- Comfortable supporting clients or community members and offering steady, friendly service
- Confident running Zoom meetings and handling basic tech needs
- Background in community outreach or similar engagement work
- Clear, concise writer and communicator
- Interest in public health or community health education
Hours: Total 12-15 hours/week
Location: 557 E 70th Street, NY, NY (Hybrid)
Stipend: Available
Dates: January 2026 – June 2026
