Communications Intern
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Work with the Digital Strategist to:
Write 10 Facebook and 10 Twitter posts per week
Produce/Edit the ACESWorld monthly newsletter
Update the website and post monthly blogs
Increase social media engagement by 10%
Compile monthly social media metrics
Manage email outreach
Organize and manage photo and graphic files
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong knowledge of the digital media landscape, including various social media sites, looking to gain valuable online media experience with an organization working globally to accelerate an end to global poverty.
Our ideal candidate for this role must also be:
Flexible, hard‐working, ethical, and committed to the ACESWorld mission
Detail-oriented and possess a high level of organizational skills
An excellent communicator with solid oral and written communication
skills
Skilled at a variety of computer skills, e.g., Microsoft Word, Word Perfect
Excel, PowerPoint
Capable of managing multiple social media platforms to support the work
of ACESWorld (Social Media Intern)

The Association for Community Empowerment Solutions (ACESWorld) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. In accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), nonprofit organizations are not classified as “for-profit” employers, and internships may be unpaid when structured as educational experiences.
ACESWorld internships are structured as learning-focused experiences, with an emphasis on skill development, mentorship, and practical application in public health and community-based work. Interns have access to professional development opportunities, including NonprofitReady training, internal skill-building sessions, and opportunities to create public health materials (e.g., infographics). Interns may also have opportunities to attend professional meetings and global forums; however, associated expenses are not covered.
