Who We Are
Putney Student Travel has been a pioneer in crafting transformative summer programs for 74 years. We believe in the power of experiential education, offering life-changing opportunities to students. Our programs serve 6th–12th graders, ranging from eight days to four weeks, and spanning the globe from New York to Namibia and the Gulf of California to the summit of Kilimanjaro.

Who You Are:
An educator, mentor, professional, or experiential learning specialist eager to facilitate immersive global programming that is equal parts educational and fun. Many of our leaders are fluent or highly proficient in languages such as Japanese, Italian, French, and other languages spoken in our program destinations. While most of our leaders come to us with a bachelor’s degree, we are aware that relevant experience comes in many forms. We welcome applicants who have taken alternative educational and professional paths as well.

Your Role:
We seek applicants who enjoy and have experience working with and mentoring students in immersive and dynamic environments in order to foster cultural exchange, personal growth, and responsible global exploration. We place extensive trust in our leaders and grant a high degree of independence and responsibility. Our most successful staff are able to self-motivate, organize, and energize students throughout the entirety of a program while collaborating effectively with their leadership team. Past leaders agree that some of the most important skills are flexibility, patience, and a sense of humor while ensuring the health and safety of all participants. We seek leaders who have spent significant time in the destination(s) where they will be leading and/or who are proficient or fluent in the local language(s), including Japanese, Italian, French, or other relevant languages.
