Data Projects Analyst
Summary
Lidl US is searching for the next Data Projects Analyst to join our Pricing & Buying Systems team! The Purchasing Projects & Buying Systems Analyst is responsible for a variety of tasks including following, upholding, and optimizing departmental standard processes. This role requires the ability to work independently with high attention to detail as well as technical expertise in at least one system or data tool (Google App Sheets / App Scripts, Excel, VBA, Power BI, etc.). This role supports the department by working on multiple projects simultaneously, suggesting optimization opportunities, and facilitating system quality tests and rollouts. This position will generate reports on a variety of topics and will be required to create and read process maps and successfully and efficiently plan projects to ensure deadlines are met. The Analyst will liaise with multiple stakeholders within the business as well as external business partners, such as Developers, Suppliers and Service Providers.
Essential Functions
- Oversees and manages assigned project and/or departments data, ensuring it meets predetermined contractual or policy requirements
Conduct data entry and data management for various department projects - Assist with the development of training materials such as manuals, handbooks, presentations, diagrams, workflows, and project plans
Track and report on work packages and tasks on complex projects in a deadline-driven environment - Implement and carry out process improvements designed by the Projects & Buying Systems Team
- Prepare and document status meetings with various teams (internal and external)
- Take part in requirements gathering discussions for process improvements and automations, offering advice as subject matter expert
Support on multiple systems & technical solutions (Google App Sheets / App Scripts, Salesforce, Excel, VBA, Power BI, etc.) with expertise in at least one domain - Coordinate process adherence for systems across the wider Purchasing Team, Accounting, Supply Chain, and Logistics Teams
- Report system issues with applicable department (external service providers, Lidl International, internal teams)
- Organize and execute meetings & trainings for new hires, current team members, and other teams
- Understand the objective and impact of changes when transforming business processes into requirements
- Ensure quality standards are met by maintaining a high-level attention to detail
- Escalate issues proactively to the team & Manager in a timely manner
- Proactively work on open requests in support inbox

- Proficient in Google Workplace, Microsoft Office Suite, or related software

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- German language skills
Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1-3 years of experience in a related field
- In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience in related field will meet the education and related experience requirements listed above
- Experience with VBA, Excel, and SQL
- Experience with Power BI and/or Looker Studio
Preferred Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience
- Experience with Jira and Confluence
- Experience with Google App Sheets and App Scripts
- Experience with Python
- Experience with Databricks
- Experience with Salesforce
