Transportation Planner

The City of Bozeman is now accepting applications for a Transportation Planner to support our Transportation & Engineering Team. The person in this position will apply professional standards to planning, administration, coordination, research, and implementation of transportation plans, business development, data collection and analysis, urban development, public involvement, and related projects.

Wage: $36.68 - $40.08 per hour depending on experience

Work Week: Typically, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, occasional evening and weekend work required.

 

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation or Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Public Administration, Environmental Science, or Geography or a related field; and
  • Some (1 – 3 years) experience in planning, community engagement, data analysis, GIS or a related field; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.
