Initial salary placement is based on verified and accepted educational/work experience in accordance with the current City College of San Francisco Faculty Salary Schedule. The annual salary range upon entry is from $72,409 to $115,214 for 175 days of service or pro-rated for one semester or fewer days of service. New full-time faculty hires will have two additional service days, in their first year of service only, for the purpose of attending mandatory new faculty orientation. Position Description:
This is a position for a Full-Time faculty and Program Director of the Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography (DCS) - Adult Echocardiography Program. Teaching assignments require in-person instruction.
Job Duties:
• Teach in-person Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography (DCS) courses, cardiac ultrasound, in the classroom, lab, and/or clinical setting.
• Perform responsibilities of a program director for the CCSF accredited DCS program, including: oversee the structure and daily operation of the program;. the organization, administration, periodic review and evaluation, continued development, and effectiveness of program curricula; and ensuring the effectiveness of all clinical affiliates is maintained.
• Perform responsibilities related to program coordination at the college, including: maintaining program accreditation, coordination of clinical placements, leading at least annual advisory board meetings, developing and submitting grant proposals for program funding, writing annual program assessment/review, and coordination of part-time instructors.
• Teach in-person day, evening, classes or clinical labs at one or more sites as required.
• Participate in departmental duties including, but not limited to, curriculum development, selection of appropriate instruction material, and revisions of testing material.
• Assist in student recruitment, enrollment, and clinical placements.
• Perform duties associated with instructing students and assessing their progress in relation to identified student learning outcomes.
• Participate in assessment necessary for program evaluation and revision.
• Maintain departmental policies in the classroom and maintain accreditation standards.
• Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with professional training sites.
• Participate in other college-wide and departmental functions, such as committees, workshops, staff meetings, and faculty evaluations.
• Support an innovative culture of culturally responsive, inclusive and anti- racist practices as it relates to student success with an awareness of student equity gaps.
• Participate in ongoing training on diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism to center pedagogy.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the program chair.
Minimum Qualifications:
City College of San Francisco Minimum Qualifications and JRC-DMS Program Director Minimum Qualifications:
1. Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to work with community college students with disabilities, various sexual orientations, and diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
2. Earned Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent foreign degree, plus two years of professional experience directly related to the faculty member's assignment; OR THE EQUIVALENT.
3. Possess credential in Adult Cardiac Sonography.
4. Two years of clinical experience as a registered sonographer in the professional sonography field.

Desirable Qualifications:
1. Earned master's degree.2. Experience in supervision, instruction, evaluation, student guidance and in educational theories and techniques.
3. Evidence of successful leadership experience at the university or college level using culturally responsive pedagogy that leads to equitable outcomes for all students.
4. Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of inequities in higher education and a commitment to rectifying policies and processes that restrict access for historically minoritized and disproportionately impacted students.
