Summer Camp Music Games Specialist
Are you a DJ? Do you like creating a party for kids from 5yrs to 15yrs? Our Music Games Specialist plays various musical games with groups of around 15 campers. Whether it is an iPod, Macbook or even instruments you develop a game for each of our 8 weeks of camp. (Karaoke, Musical Chairs, Freeze Dance or let your imagination explode).
Responsibilities include and not limited to:
- Setup your activity location Saturday/Sunday before Camp
- Plan, develop, and implement engaging and age-appropriate games for Campers over an eight-week schedule (1 game each week taught multiple times)
- Submit curriculum and supply needs to Director of Operations before camp with enough time for standard delivery
- Instruct and lead Campers in your activity
- Promote a safe and inclusive environment for all Campers, adhering to safety guidelines and Camp Policies
- Be a source of encouragement and support to Campers, fostering personal growth and skill development
- Be a positive role model for Campers and counselors by demonstrating leadership, teamwork and good sportsmanship and supervise groups to ensure Campers and counselors are displaying good sportsmanship, cooperation and teamwork
- Where applicable, supervise a Leader In Training Camper (14/15yr old)
- Maintain and organize equipment, supplies, and activity areas and notifying Operations Unit Head of needs
- Adapt activities as needed to accommodate Campers with different abilities and interests
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities, making adjustments for improvement
- Work as a team with other Activity Specialists to ensure morning set-up and breakdowns in various areas are complete including Ice Water Coolers, cones, inflatables, and other equipment
- Attend a 9:00am Specialist Meeting each morning of Camp in the location specified by Director of Operations
- Attend a Specialist Orientation held a week or two before Camp
- Break down activity area daily as required and completely on last day of camp
