Sales Development Associate Intern
Internship Overview
We are seeking a college student intern to join our team as a Sales Development Associate (SDA). This role supports the firm through CRM input and maintenance while providing hands-on exposure to professional, permission-based client communication.
This internship is designed for students who want real-world experience in:
Business development
Financial planning environments
Client communication
Professional sales skills done ethically and responsibly
What You’ll Do
Assist with CRM data entry, updates, and maintenance (Redtail)
Accurately document prospect and client interactions
Learn how to initiate professional, respectful, permission-based conversations
Ask thoughtful questions to understand goals and timing
Support scheduling of qualified consultations
Participate in structured call training and coaching using Simmie.ai
Gain insight into how a regulated financial planning firm operates

Ideal Candidate
Currently enrolled college student (any major; business, finance, or communications a plus)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Calm, professional phone presence
Organized, detail-oriented, and coachable
Interest in financial planning or client-facing work
Able to commit to two academic semesters
Compliance & Eligibility Requirements
Must successfully pass a background check
Must complete fingerprinting if selected
Ability to work on-site in Chattanooga, TN
Two-semester commitment required to ensure continuity and training investment
Time Commitment & Compensation
Approximately 10 hours per week
$10/hour
