Cloud Engineer

Job Purpose:

By designing and implementing the rawhide cloud presence, supporting all cloud platforms, designing and implementing cloud-based applications that are fiscally responsible, migrating existing on-premise applications to the cloud and developing integration/automation solutions for all applications in use at Rawhide.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Establish and maintain a cloud presence for Rawhide with redundant design
  • Provide expertise to design, implement, move, support applications in the chosen cloud configuration and model that are fiscally responsible.
  • Provide expertise to migrate existing on-premise applications to cloud solutions.
  • Develop Integrations and Automations that enable improved efficiencies, lower cost, reduce labor hours, and enable communication between applications that share information.
  • Support the Information Technology Manager in ad hoc projects, as requested.

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor degree in IT, Management Information Systems, or similar field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in IT with a combination of IT support, server and/or network infrastructure, application development, or preferentially, cloud engineering experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience using Python or Powershell to develop applications and scripts
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize essential daily tasks.
  • Ability to share information effectively with a variety of stakeholders within the organization and vendors outside of the organization.
