Litigation Paralegal/Office Administrator

Paralegal Duties & Responsibilities

Calendar key deadlines

Ensure attorneys meet all deadlines

Drafting/Proofing

Filing in both Federal and State Courts

Save and Catalog Documents

Prepare and serve Discovery Requests and Responses

Bates Stamping

Draft Production Logs

Run Large-Scale e-discovery productions

Coordinate Hearings/Depos/mediations, etc.

Draft and Serve Subpoenas

Draft, File, Serve, Track Non-Party Discovery Requests

Preparing Electronic Hearing Binders, including Case Law and Exhibits

Trial Prep

Draft Retainer Agreements and Closing Statement

Notarize as needed

Bill Time

Proficient with cite-checking and Bluebook rules

Office Admin Duties and Responsibilities

Hiring/HR

Training

Entering Payments in Case Management System – Track in daily log

Opening Closing matters in Case Management System

MUST-Have Skills

Minimum of 5 years of work experience as a litigation paralegal

Organization

Strong sense of accountability and attention to detail

Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Products (including Excel)

Technology Skills

Problem Solver

Ability to maintain stable performance under pressure with continually changing priorities; ability to integrate special assignments or projects into workflow

Excellent judgment demonstrated by the ability to make appropriate decisions in high-pressure situations.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including communications that are clear and concise, use proper grammar, and vocabulary.
