Chief of Staff to Founder
About the Role
This role exists to turn founder intent into execution. In an early-stage startup, priorities shift quickly and complexity compounds fast. The Chief of Staff works closely with the founder and leadership team to ensure the most important work moves forward without delay, misalignment, or loss of momentum. This is a high-trust, high-ownership role that sits at the center of strategy, execution, and communication. It is not an administrative role; it is a builder and operator role with significant visibility and a strong pathway toward expanded leadership responsibility as the company scales.
What You Will Do
- Prepare decision briefs and translate founder ideas into clear, executable plans
- Own and drive high-priority cross-functional initiatives from start to finish
- Define scope, timelines, owners, and milestones for key projects
- Run operating cadence, including leadership check-ins and follow-through
- Track key metrics and ensure accountability across teams
- Clarify decisions, reduce confusion, and align teams on priorities
- Step into ambiguous problems, structure options, and help drive fast decisions

- Priorities move faster and stall less often
- Meetings consistently result in decisions and action

Who You Are
- 3–5 years of experience in a startup, operations, consulting, or product environment
- Strong project management experience, with the ability to run multiple initiatives in parallel
- Extremely organized and comfortable juggling competing priorities
- Able to think on your feet in fast-moving situations
- Excellent written and verbal communicator, comfortable presenting to leadership
- High ownership mindset with the instinct to step in when something needs to be solved
