Global Cleanup Research Intern - Environmental NGO

Join EARTHDAY.ORG's Great Global Cleanup to research and catalog cleanup events worldwide. Start date is March 1, 2026 through mid-May 2026.

Responsibilities:

  • Review online listings, social media posts, and partner databases to verify event details, locations, and participation numbers for inclusion in EARTHDAY.ORG’s global cleanup map.
  • Collect, verify, and map event data using Esri ArcGIS and Survey123, contributing to global environmental impact tracking.
  • Prepare summary reports and visualizations highlighting regional participation, environmental outcomes, and outreach progress.
  • Collaborate with US and international partners to analyze trends and identify new cleanup opportunities.

Ideal for students passionate about geography, GIS, environmental studies, and the outdoors seeking meaningful, hands-on experience.
