What You'll Be Doing
This position requires a range of technical engineering work within the Department of Community Development (Engineering Division) with a primary function of examining and providing engineering review and design for private sector Land Development Applications as well as Town initiated Capital Project applications to ensure compliance with Federal, State and Town development ordinances. Work involves reviewing engineering and construction plans, plats and other land development documents for compliance with codes, regulations and Town standards and coordination with consultants and developers regarding plan approval. This position also provides assistance to various Town departments, outside review agencies, architects, engineers, and the general public with code compliance pertaining to the development or subdivision of property.
The position level will be determined based on the selected candidate's background and experience.
Required Qualifications:
Engineering Technician
$58,823 - $125,681
HS/GED; minimum of two to four years’ experience in civil engineering and or survey work. Possess a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
Or
Engineer I
$69,377 - $148,229
Graduated from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of two or more years’ experience in design or construction of civil engineering work. Possess a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
Or
Senior Engineer
$75,342- $160,975
Graduated from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field. Four to six years’ experience in civil engineering work. Possess a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
