Position: Investment Ecosystem Intern, Latin America
Description of Role:
- Support your Investment Analyst Manager/ GM by collecting information,
performing research, conducting industry and data analysis on companies - Supporting investment & startup event planning & execution
- Support creating Orbit Founder’s community content for Latin America-oriented founders and partners
- Support operations in Orbit-affiliated events, including international and
local conferences, mentor meet-and-greets, and startup events - Collect data and information on community & program
- Brainstorm ideas for building a community platform for Latin America founders
Qualifications:
- Community & news savvy: you are already in the know, or dying to be in the know of startup news in Latin America. You follow all the podcasts and all the right newsletters. Past experience organizing events or creating community is a huge plus.
- Creative & prolific: you are full of fresh ideas for content, for f y
- Connecting the dots: you don’t just zone in on the parts. You gather information on all the dots and see the whole - you read the trend.
- People-loving & natural relationships builder: you naturally gravitate towards mass of people, you know how to read the incentives and rationale between different types of people (founders, investors, institutions, etc.).
- Collaborative & helpful: you love collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, and love to connect!
- Fast & considerate & responsive communicator: you’re known to be fast & responsive. You know the layers of communication very well - in fact, you are an overcommunicator.
- You are a self-starter, highly responsible even if you are working remotely.
Passion for disruptive technology and innovation - Experience in tasks involving analysis and critical thinking
- Punctuality and discipline when it comes to deadlines
- Fluency in written/spoken English and Spanish; fluency in Portuguese is a huge plus
