What You Will Do (and Learn!)

As an Occupational Therapist, you will help residents achieve greater independence and improved quality of life. You will evaluate, plan, and deliver individualized interventions that support functional progress, safety, and daily activity performance.

You will:

  • Provide skilled OT evaluations and treatments
  • Supervise and guide Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members
  • Document clear and accurate clinical findings
  • Support residents and families through education and communication
  • Promote a positive, compassionate, values‑driven therapy culture
  • Advocate for residents, ensuring they remain at the center of all clinical decisions

This role offers strong exposure to ADL training, cognitive support, functional mobility, adaptive equipment, and environmental modification strategies.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Current OT students or recent MOT/OTD graduates
  • Valid North Carolina OT license (or eligibility upon graduation)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to high‑quality, resident‑centered care
  • Interest in long‑term care, geriatrics, and meaningful daily function

Long‑term care experience is preferred, but not required.

Work Location
