General Information:
Job Type: Internship
Timeframe: Summer and/or During School year
EOE, Drug Free Workplace
Normal Work Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Monday thru Friday
(Work days and hours are subject to change to meet the needs of the company)
Education:
Preferred – Pursuing a Construction Management or Engineering Type Degree
Physical Requirements
Required – Ability to sit, stand and/ or move around for long periods of time.
Required - Ability to lift 50lbs
Other Requirements
Required - Ability to pass drug screening(s)
Required - Ability to pass background check and obtain security clearance
Required - Able to prove U.S. Employment eligibility
Required - Willing to travel as required
Required – Able to work extended hours when necessary, nights and weekends
Required - Ability to learn to read and comprehend plans and project specifications
Required - Ability to communicate effectively with others both written and orally
Required - Ability to use our operating systems:
- Microsoft Office (Work, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
- Bluebeam
Primary Role
This Internship is to get a general understand of how our Construction process works. You will be shadowing and assisting Foreman and Superintendents on site, Project Managers, Estimators, and the Virtual Construction Department.
Duties and Objectives that will be taught include but are not limited to the following:

- How to read Engineered Contract Drawings
- Learn the basics of the HVAC and Plumbing Trades
- Learn the basics of how to start of HVAC Equipment
- How to Review Specifications of a job
- Learn the basics on taking off Plumbing and Mechanical Systems by hand
- Learn the basics on how to input into the Estimation Software
- Learn how to Read Coordination Drawings
- Learn the basic drafting skills and how to operate Navisworks
- Learn how to push to Prefabrication
- Learn the basics of an Engineering Load Calculation
- How to review Submittals
- How to schedule Inspections
- How to utilize Procore
- How to Review the Budget of a job
- Go over job schedules

Safety
