Swim Instructor and Lifeguards

If you are an experienced swimmer, like to be by the pool throughout the summer and really enjoy children then you should consider working as a camp lifeguard and swim instructor. And if you work as a lifeguard, there's no better place to work than at Deerkill Day Camp (at least that's what we hear)!

We have a high energy and friendly staff that teaches the life skill of swimming while helping campers gain self-confidence, all while making lifelong friends by the waterfront. Lifeguards and swim instructors who work at Deerkill get real salaries and do not have to work for tips. We also offer and will cover the cost of certification courses in June prior to the start of camp.

8-week session runs from June 29 through August 20

Daily Transportation from the New York City area, Hoboken, Westchester, Montclair and Rockland, Orange and Bergen Counties available.
