Synthetic Biology Associate

The Role

We are seeking a fixed-term (16 weeks) part-time (5 hours/day) Synthetic Biology Associate, who will work independently to assemble genes using molecular biology methods and AI. As part of this position, you will manage your own time, research strategy, and research budget.

 

Required

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate STEM degree or hold a Bachelors in Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, or a closely related discipline.
  • At least 3 months of independent (non-coursework) research experience in PCR and gel electrophoresis
  • Able to operate PCR and gel electrophoresis independently
  • At least a conceptual understanding of primer design, molecular software (Benchling), and molecular cloning methods
