Business Development/Marketing Interns
Pay Rate: $15.00/hour
Semester: Summer
Start Date: May 11, 2026
Hours: 225 hours/semester
Hours per week: 15-20+ (some positions even allow up to 40 hours/week)
Job Summary:
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Business Development/Marketing Interns to join our dynamic team. The intern will gain hands-on experience and exposure to the core functions of business development, including market research, lead generation, client outreach, and sales support. This role offers a unique opportunity to build critical skills in sales strategy, negotiation, and business operations, while contributing directly to the growth of our company. In addition, the intern will assist with planning, organization, and execution of community and corporate events.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research & Analysis:
- Conduct research to identify new market opportunities, industry trends, and competitors.
- Assist in the preparation of market analysis reports and help with strategic recommendations based on findings.
Lead Generation & Outreach:
- Support the team in identifying potential clients and new business opportunities.
- Assist with outreach activities via email, phone calls, or to schedule meetings or follow up with leads.
Sales Support:
- Assist in preparing sales presentations, proposals, and contracts.
- Help with CRM management, ensuring that client and lead information is up-to-date.
Client Relationship Management:
- Support the team in building and maintaining relationships with potential and existing clients.
- Help coordinate client meetings, follow-up emails, and communication efforts.
Collaboration with Marketing:
- Work closely with the marketing team to ensure alignment of business development and marketing strategies.
- Assist in preparing marketing materials that will support business development efforts.
Administrative Support:
- Perform general administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations within the business development department.
- Help track key metrics and report progress toward business development goals.
Community and Corporate Functions:
- Assisting in event planning and logistics
- Coordinating event materials (signage, agendas)
- Supporting communication with attendees, sponsors, and partners
- Managing event setup, registration, and on-site support
- Handling administrative tasks (scheduling, filing, data entry)
- Conducting post-event evaluations and feedback collection
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Business Administration, Marketing, or related undergraduate program.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive attitude, with a willingness to learn and contribute to team goals.
