Junior Interior Designer
This role is perfect for a recent graduate or emerging designer eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, full-service design studio. You’ll collaborate with our senior designers on a variety of residential projects, assist with AutoCAD drawings and 3D modeling, help manage our materials library, and support day-to-day studio operations. We’re looking for someone creative, organized, and enthusiastic about design who thrives in a collaborative environment. Candidates should have a degree in Interior Design (or related field), strong design software skills, and be available 4–5 days per week in our Williston Park office.
Qualifications:
- Degree or certificate in Interior Design or a related field
- Strong skills in Interior Design and FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment)
- Proficiency in design software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Studio Designer, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail with a creative approach to design
- Knowledge of current interior design trends
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and organize the fabric library
- Manage office operations and assist with day-to-day tasks
- Collaborate with senior designers on projects, including drafting in AutoCAD and creating 3D models
- Support senior designers with design-related tasks and project coordination
- Conduct site visits, take measurements, and manage material pick-ups/deliveries
Job Details:
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and a clean driving record required (must be able to drive within the Tri-State area)
