Health and Fitness Center Member Services Lead

We have a full-time opportunity on our Health and Fitness Center Member Services team.  This position will oversee all aspects of the Front Desk, while delivering exceptional customer service and support to all Health and Fitness Center members and guests. Support the growth of membership base and programs through communication and marketing efforts. They will open the facility as early as 5AM Monday through Friday and be back up as needed. 

 

In this position you will:

  • Greet and assist members, guests, and program participants in a friendly and professional manner
  • Communicate with members regularly to keep them informed and engaged.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to questions, and provide accurate information on programs, memberships, and services
  • Manage member check-ins, account access, sales transactions, and maintain accurate records and reports
  • Promote and process sales of memberships, services, and proshop items
  • Support administrative tasks such as filing, printing, creating signage
  • Monitor and assist with restock supplies, and report safety or maintenance concerns
  • Assist with locker/towel service, along with tracking and inventory
  • Address member concerns promptly and help promote participation in programs and services
  • Schedule Member Services staffing and fill in or cover shifts as needed
  • Open or close the facility as assigned
  • Perform other duties as needed
  • Respond to Member’s concerns, suggestions, or complaints in a timely, professional, and consistent manner.
  • Assist with and provide information for financial tracking reports, invoice processing and accurate billing
  • Ensure that the facility’s equipment and cleanliness/tidiness consistently meet company standards
  • Coordinate with Director of HFC Operations to ensure accurate payroll

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • At least 4-years experience in customer service/sales.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service to members and guests.
  • Comfort and self-confidence in engaging prospective members.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication. 
  • Ability to work with and communicate with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and self-motivation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn and work on databases.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
  • Reliability in attendance and responsibility.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Friendly, reliable, and customer-service oriented
  • Comfortable with basic computer systems
  • Interest in health, wellness, or community programs
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Gym/Health Club experience

Work Schedule

  • 5:15am-1:45pm
