Power Intern
In the role of Power Intern, we'll count on you to:
- Tackle real-world experience on exciting power delivery projects
- Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs
- Apply standard electrical engineering techniques and procedures
- Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
- Provide support for substation design projects under the direct supervision of an Engineer such as: Performing design on drawings relevant to the given project
- Assist with data entry
- Project filing required for project deliverables
- Perform other duties as needed
The ideal candidate will commit up to 20 hours per week on-site, working alongside and receiving mentorship from a licensed engineer. This position does not offer remote work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Electrical Engineering major with Power.
- Prefer 3 years completed toward degree (Senior) with 3.0+ GPA
- Candidate should have completed Basic Circuits Analysis and Electric Machines Course.
- Candidate should have an inquisitive mind
- Candidate should be interested in high voltage power system design and protection
- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to the field of study/industry
- Prefer candidate to be local to the Los Angeles County/Orange County Areas
- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
- Attention to detail
- Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
