Marketing Intern
We are seeking a creative and motivated Marketing Intern to support the development of marketing resources highlighting the vibrant commercial corridors of Wicker Park and Bucktown. This role will help produce a series of flip books and promotional guides that showcase neighborhood shopping, dining, arts, and destination experiences for both residents and visitors.
The guides will serve as destination and shopping resources designed to promote local businesses, increase foot traffic, and celebrate the character of these neighborhoods.
Key Responsibilities:
-Assist in the development and production of digital and print flip book marketing guides
-Research and compile information about local businesses, restaurants, retail shops, and attractions
-Support content creation including short descriptions, highlights, and promotional copy
-Help organize business listings and neighborhood corridor maps
-Coordinate with local businesses to gather photos, information, and promotional details
-Assist with visual layout preparation and formatting of marketing materials
-Support social media and digital promotion of the guides when published
-Conduct light field research in Wicker Park and Bucktown commercial corridors
Preferred Qualifications:
-Current student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Urban Planning, Design, or a related field
-Strong writing and communication skills
-Interest in neighborhood development, local businesses, and community marketing
-Familiarity with design tools such as Canva, Adobe InDesign, or similar is a plus
-Knowledge of or interest in Chicago neighborhoods, particularly Wicker Park and Bucktown
