Business Development Representative (AI Sales)

Our platform is already used by organizations such as Johns Hopkins and the National Academies, along with consulting firms supporting the pharmaceutical industry.

We also offer PICO Portal PLUS+, which combines the software with a global network of trained researchers who help organizations complete large or complex evidence reviews.

We use AI to help research teams turn massive amounts of scientific literature into clear, usable insights.

 

The Role

This is a high-impact outbound role focused on generating qualified meetings that convert into demos with pharmaceutical companies, and research decision-makers.

What You'll Do:

  • Prospect into pharmaceutical, biotech, and research organizations
  • Use modern outreach tools and AI-assisted workflows to identify potential customers
  • Run outbound campaigns through email, LinkedIn, and targeted outreach
  • Book qualified meetings that convert into product demonstrations
  • Learn how early-stage companies build pipeline and acquire customers
  • Work closely with the leadership team to improve messaging and outbound strategy

High performers may have the opportunity to participate in later stages of the sales cycle

What Success Looks Like:

  • This role is performance-driven. We believe in clarity around expectations and measurable outcomes.
  • Within the first 90 days, a successful BDR will:
    • Set 8–12 qualified meetings per week
    • Demonstrate consistent outbound activity
    • Build familiarity with AI tools and modern prospecting workflows
    • Maintain organized CRM and disciplined follow-through
    • Contribute to early growth of the company’s sales pipeline


Compensation Structure:

We believe in simple, transparent compensation tied to performance.

  • $50 per Meeting attended
  • +10% Closed Revenue Commission
