Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT)
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT) to provide individualized instruction and support to students with special needs. The SEIT will work directly with students in their natural environments—home, school, or community settings—to implement personalized education plans (IEPs) and foster skill development, independence, and academic growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver individualized instruction based on students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, therapists, and other professionals to monitor student progress.
• Provide direct instruction in areas including communication, social skills, academic skills, and adaptive behavior.
• Document sessions, progress, and behavior notes in a timely and accurate manner.
• Participate in team meetings, IEP meetings, and training sessions as required.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Maintain a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment.
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
• Valid state teaching certification or special education credential preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
