Social Media and Marketing Intern
The Ginsburg Phoenix Generation Program is a collaborative incubator for student leaders, providing a space to learn, network, develop, and take bold action to strengthen communities and deepen mutual understanding.
The Ginsburg Phoenix Generation Program supports fellows and interns who answer a community-driven call to action—bringing people together across Central Florida to create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all. Guided by the belief that kindness and respect can bridge differences, fellows work to foster a campus culture where every individual feels valued, respected, and protected while actively catalyzing the Central Florida Pledge.
Position dates: May-July
Payment: $1,000 monthly stipend ($3000 total), college internship credit can also be facilitated
Work Hours: 15 hours per week, Positions are primarily in-person at the Ginsburg Family Foundation Offices at 605 E Robinson Street, Orlando, FL. Some remote work will be approved. Occasionally travel to meetings and events in other Central Florida locations may be required.
The Social Media and Marketing Intern will help expand Phoenix Generation’s online presence and engagement and support digital marketing initiatives. This position reports to the VP of the Phoenix Generation.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, create, and schedule engaging social media content across multiple platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, X, etc.)
- Monitor and engage with online communities by responding to comments and messages
- Analyze social media performance metrics and suggest improvements
- Research trends, hashtags, and competitors to optimize content strategy
- Support email and in-app marketing campaigns
- Assist in creating marketing materials, such as graphics and promotional content
- Help with influencer outreach and brand collaborations
- Collaborate with the others interns and staff, for example: to market the podcast, campus and community events, and campus takeovers
Requirements:
✔ Creative thinker with a passion for digital marketing
✔ Passion for social media, storytelling, and media production
✔ Strong knowledge of social media platforms and trends
✔ Graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc)
✔ Familiarity with social media analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, etc.)
✔ Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
✔ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
✔ Desire for curiosity about your own and other values
✔ Interest in civic engagement and community-building
