Event Management/PR Intern
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
- Assist in the planning and implementation of events, meetings, and conferences
- Support the coordination of event logistics including venue setup, registration, and materials preparation
- Help maintain event-related records and documentation
- Contribute to the creation of event materials, including programs, signage, and promotional content
- Assist with participant registration and management
- Support communication with vendors, speakers, and participants
- Attend planning meetings and contribute ideas for event improvement
- Help track event budgets and expenses
- Assist with post-event evaluation and feedback collection
- Support social media and other promotional efforts for events
- Perform general administrative tasks related to event coordination
- Provide on-site support during events, including setup, attendee assistance, and breakdown
- Help capture photos and videos during BACI events and programs
- Support the editing and production of video clips and promotional materials
- Draft social media posts and content calendars
- Assist with monitoring social media engagement and compiling analytics reports
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Interest in event planning, nonprofit management, community development, or related fields
- Basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with event planning or coordination in any capacity
- Knowledge of or connection to the Burmese American community
- Experience with social media management
- Familiarity with graphic design tools
- Prior volunteer or work experience in a nonprofit setting
- Pass the Background Check.
