Real Estate Credit Analyst

Leste’s real estate business is vertically integrated with capabilities spanning ground-up development, value-add equity investments and opportunistic credit. Within real estate credit, the team is primarily focused on housing-related investments, with broader flexibility across industrial, retail and mixed-use assets.
Leste is hiring an Originations Analyst to join its real estate credit team. The role offers excellent exposure to the full transaction cycle – supporting sourcing, underwriting, and execution. The Analyst will work closely with senior investment professionals in underwriting and executing senior bridge loans and selective structured equity investments
Job Description:
- Build and interpret complex financial models covering property cash flows, credit underwriting and partnership returns
- Analyze and synthesize market and sector-specific research to inform investment decision-making and substantiate investment theses
- Evaluate business plan risk, market positioning and conduct scenario modeling
- Prepare investment committee memoranda and present new investment opportunities
- Support due diligence and transaction execution, including sponsor and third-party diligence coordination
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, STEM or a related quantitative field with a strong academic record
- 1-3 years of experience in real estate investing (acquisitions or originations), investment banking, direct lending or securitized products
- Proven ability to assess, distill and communicate complex structures to senior team members and investment committee audiences
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills; comfortable owning and presenting IC materials
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling and PowerPoint
- Highly organized and ownership-oriented – ability to manage multiple live transactions simultaneously
