Works with Library Information Technology to improve the quality of the services by performing requirements surveys and analysis and assisting in the integration, testing and training of new solutions.
Participates in implementations and provides post-implementation support. Performs a liaison function between the business side of the organization and the providers of Information Services. Develops functional design of processes and systems assessing the business model and its integration with
technology.
Interviews business staff and management to document current processes and new requirements for new or revised solutions.
Provides interface details and file layouts for conversion for new Library computer programs.
Creates business process flow diagrams including both manual and automated tasks. Creates staff workflow guides for new software/systems based on known staff tech level, workflow, existing limits. Communicates with staff to determine needs. Reports and tracks project progress. Summarizes tech changes into layman's terms. Interviews and documents requirements for new solutions. Propose, screen, and report layout.
Communicates with vendors such as Polaris, Envisionware, UMS, SHI, Extreme/DNS, and others to facilitate successful validation and reporting.
Consults with Project, Library Information Services, and Business stakeholders to discuss strategies for successful solutions and implementations. Coordinates communication regarding workflow changes, new applications, outages.
Ability to recreate system related scenarios for problem resolution and documentation. Tests databases & applications such as Polaris, mobile printing, myLIBRO.
Develops a standard approach/organization process and template for Business Requirements Documents ensuring a clear, concise and traceable source for requirement identification and documentation. Creates all project artifacts including test matrices when applicable. Manages inventory and compiles measurements. Obtains quotes and tracks license renewals.
 

Performs other similar duties as required.
Knowledge:
Technical and business terminology, trends, and techniques;
Principles and practices of large system implementations and conversions;
Functional design and technical development techniques.
Project management
Skills:
Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and other applicable computer software;
Technical writing, including flowcharting, documenting As-Is and To-Be processes; Document and file organization; Data handling, extraction, and transfer; Creating project artifacts including test matrices.
Additional job requirements: Must have the ability to exert up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently.

Minimum Education - Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Qualification - 1-3 years of relatable experience and a valid SC driver's license

Salary Range: $53,589.25-$57,340.50 DOQ
