Looking for full time and part time teachers to join our dynamic team! Full time hours are 9am-6pm Monday - Friday., full time preferred. Part time hours are 12pm-6pm Monday - Friday.
Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for preschool and toddler-aged children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development through engaging activities and structured learning experiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early learning in areas such as math, language, and social skills.
- Manage classroom activities effectively to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all children.
- Utilize behavior management techniques to guide children's behavior positively and constructively.
- Foster open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and share best practices.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of children, including those with special education requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom space that encourages exploration and creativity.
Requirements
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children or in toddler care settings is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create an engaging learning atmosphere.
- Knowledge of Montessori principles or similar educational philosophies is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative in lesson planning and classroom activities.
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies to support children's development effectively.
