Mechanical and Electrical Intern

Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as an Intern in Mechanical and Electrical Contractor Management and Sales. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for hands-on experience in the mechanical and electrical contracting industry, combining project management, client relations, and sales activities. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced team to gain insights into the contracting business, develop valuable skills, and contribute to the growth of our organization. 

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Project Support: 

Assist in coordinating and managing mechanical contracting projects from initiation to completion. 

Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery and quality workmanship. 

Work alongside management to organize project documentation for field teams 

Participate in on-site inspections and project meetings to gain practical experience. 

2. Client Relations: 

Join the project managers in meetings to communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide timely updates on project progress. 

Build and maintain positive relationships with existing clients through effective communication and service delivery. 

3. Sales Assistance: 

Support the sales team in identifying potential clients and business opportunities. 

Assist in preparing project estimates and proposals. 

Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to get competitive pricing that meets the project intent. 

4. Administrative Tasks: 

Assist in maintaining accurate project documentation and records. 

Handle administrative tasks related to project coordination and sales activities. 

Prepare reports as needed. 

5. Learning and Development: 

Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of mechanical contracting processes and sales techniques. 

Seek opportunities for professional growth and skill development. 

Open doors for future employment via high internship performance. 

Qualifications: 

Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Business, Construction Management). 

Applicants must be in their junior or senior year pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree.

Strong interest in the mechanical or electrical contracting and construction industry. 

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 

Basic understanding of project management principles is a plus. 

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
