IT Intern – SharePoint & Power Platform (Low-Code / No-Code)

Kurrent Logic is seeking to hire three (3) IT Interns to join a SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform career track. This internship is designed to build a long-term talent pipeline by developing early-career professionals with strong foundations in low-code / no-code solutions that support government clients.
HUBZone Requirement (Required for Consideration)
Kurrent Logic is a HUBZone-certified small business, which requires that a percentage of our workforce resides in a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone).

Internship Focus Areas
This role is ideal for students who are interested in business applications, automation, and modern workplace tools, and who want to build practical skills without heavy traditional coding.
Interns will focus on low-code / no-code development, including:
- Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven Apps)
- Microsoft Power Automate (workflow automation)
- Microsoft SharePoint Online (lists, libraries, permissions, site design)
- Microsoft Dataverse fundamentals
- Basic data modeling and business process automation
- Integrations within Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, Forms, Excel)
No prior professional experience is required—a willingness to learn and grow is essential.
Certifications & Professional Development
Interns are required to actively pursue Microsoft certifications as part of the program. Kurrent Logic covers the cost of approved study materials and certification exams.
Target certifications include (but are not limited to):
- PL-900 – Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals
- PL-200 – Power Platform Functional Consultant
- PL-400 – Power Platform Developer
Interns are expected to attempt and pass a certification approximately every 1–6 months, depending on certification complexity and internship duration.
Responsibilities
- Build and enhance Power Apps and SharePoint-based solutions
- Automate workflows using Power Automate
- Support internal and client-facing projects
- Collaborate with full-time staff
- Participate in documentation, testing, and solution demos
- Assist with additional activities such as:
- Internal tools and process improvement
- Company website and Microsoft 365 enhancements
Work Schedule & Location
- 10–15 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
- At least 10 hours must be worked onsite at the Washington, DC office during normal business hours
- Remaining hours may be worked remotely, with manager approval
Example:
If an intern works 10 hours per week, at least 6 hours must be onsite.
