Director of Finance
Director of Finance
Job description
The Director of Finance position at Complete Captive Management Services (“CCMS”) will be responsible for the entire cash flow process and reporting of all the client’s financial statements.
CCMS is a captive manager. Part of our obligation to our clients is the maintenance and presentation of unaudited financial statements. Financial statements are the cornerstone of sound insurance company operations and reporting to various regulators. The Finance Director shall have knowledge and awareness of the client’s cash lifecycle, starting with cash deposits, transfers & allocations, claims payment(s) and profit distribution(s) upon period closings.
The cash flow process is much like intercompany transactions, in that cash deposits flow from one entity (the source) to another separate, related entity. The receiving entity books both a cash asset and corresponding liability back to the source of the asset. Then, upon closure of the period, the liability is eliminated for deposit back to the asset source. This process is repeated on a monthly basis.
Financial processes and procedures continually evolve based on the ongoing client and regulatory changes. As a growing company, these procedures demand updating and creation when needed. The Director of Finance is expected to maintain and author policies and procedures for continued, sound operations.
The Director of Finance will work collaboratively with the Chief Operating Officer as well as the Staff Account(s) on daily matters. The Director of Finance will also take lead, from time to time, when presenting financial matters to third parties, to include, third party actuaries, regulators, finance committees and the like.
Lastly, we seek a team member who embraces technology which makes the workplace more efficient and easier for all within the circle of communications. This includes usage of secure e-mail applications, MS office suite of applications, Salesforce CRM and other applications.
