SDFU Education Specialist

South Dakota Farmers Union (SDFU) seeks an energetic, dedicated and motivated professional for the position of Education Specialist.  He/She will be responsible for developing and directing education and leadership programs, coordinating activities and events for the education program. 

Qualified applicants will have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree.    The successful candidate should have excellent organizational skills as well as be very resourceful. The person should have experience in writing budgets. They will be representing the organization at events so verbal communication skills a must. Other experience that would be helpful are database management, basic office computer skills and a willingness to work as a team player with other SDFU employees. A basic knowledge of agriculture is required. Excellent presentation and negotiation skills are essential to this position as are strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and credibility quickly.

Wage depends on experience and qualifications. Will work Monday - Friday 8am – 4:30 pm. Some travel required
