As our accounting intern, you will support the accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records by assisting with accounts payable processing, employee expense reimbursements, and related accounting entries. Every day, you will work alongside experienced accounting staff, gaining exposure to reports, reconciliations, and general ledger activities while learning how accounting functions within a credit union environment.
Here’s what you can expect:
- Assisting with monthly financial reports and related accounting entries
- Supporting accounts payable processing in compliance with internal and external requirements
- Assisting with employee expense reimbursements
- Supporting accounting entries related to correspondent bank accounts
- Guidance, feedback, and on‑the‑job learning in a supportive, positive environment
Here’s what we expect:
- Current undergraduate student in their junior or senior year pursuing a degree in accounting
- Availability of 30–36 hours per week for a total of approximately 300 hours
- Effective communication with coworkers and members
- Positive attitude and interest in learning
- Passion for service and supporting the mission and vision of Capital Credit Union
This internship provides hands‑on accounting experience and exposure to real‑world accounting processes, with skills applicable to future entry‑level accounting opportunities.
