Role Overview
NANSI is building a culture-first language platform rooted in African music and lived experience. We’re seeking Language Lead who have deep musical taste and cultural awareness within a specific language or region.
As a Language Lead, you’ll source high-quality, culturally relevant music, guide community learning sessions, and provide cultural feedback to ensure translations capture meaning beyond the literal words.
What You’ll Do
- Lead 90 minute workshops in your African language of choice
- Curate high-taste, culturally relevant music in a target language or region
- Identify songs that reflect current trends, slang, and cultural moments
Who You Are
- Deeply connected to a specific music scene or diaspora culture
- Fluent in at least one African Language (Pidgeon included)
- Strong taste in music — you know what’s current, meaningful, and respected
- Comfortable facilitating conversations and giving thoughtful feedback
- Interested in shaping how culture is represented globally
