Relief Camp Nurse

Camp Granite Lake is looking for a health care professional to work with our nursing team as a Relief Nurse on weekends, covering for our main nurse. They will help oversee the health and well-being of approximately 150 campers and 70 staff members.

They must be kind, patient, caring, and love working with kids.

This job requires the Relief Nurse to be in residence and on-call during overnights. Shifts are 2 days at a time and private accommodations and meals will be provided. Priority will be given to applicants in the Front Range of Colorado as accommodations are not provided between shifts.

You must be able to commit to both weekends of the shift.

9am Saturday, July 25th - 10am Monday, July 27th

9am Saturday, August 1st - 10am Monday, August 3rd

Key parts of the job are:

• working with our nursing team on medication intake and distribution
• creating a comfortable, nurturing health area for sick or injured campers and staff
• making parent phone calls when applicable
• treating a wide range of minor injuries and illnesses
• the ability to stay on camp property multiple nights (private housing provided at camp during shifts)

Job Requirements:

• Must possess current RN license in CO or have ability to get one
• Ability to pass a Colorado state background check
• Must be fulling immunized per Colorado State guidelines, this includes the Covid vaccine
• Comfortable living in a rustic camp setting (WIFI is provided)
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Able to manage stress and interpersonal conflict
• Problem solver
• Caring and empathetic
• Have reliable transportation
• Experience with pediatrics is a plus!
