Wage: $15.00 per hour

Full-time seasonal daytime hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm

Start & end dates are negotiable within May – August season

Seasonal full-time employment is limited to a 5-month duration

Job summary:

Position assists with increased workload of division crews related to water maintenance projects. Under immediate supervision, performs unskilled manual labor in general water system maintenance. Performs preparation and painting of fire hydrants. May operate tools such as air hammers, water pumps, shovels, valve keys and painting equipment. May assist in maintenance, repair and operation of water main valves and hydrants. May assist in water main repairs. Cleans tools, equipment, building and grounds. Operates light motorized equipment as necessary. May assist in lawn restoration, grounds and building maintenance. Performs other related duties as required. 

Minimum qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Requires the knowledge of and ability to use common hand and power tools, familiarity with common construction materials and equipment, mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform heavy outdoor work in seasonal weather. Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record required. Must be 18 years of age. Must pass criminal background check.
