Barback
Position Summary:
As a Barback at the historic Masonic Temple, you will play a vital support role in ensuring efficient bar operations and exceptional guest experiences during concerts, events, weddings, and private functions. You will work closely with bartenders and the beverage team to stock supplies, maintain cleanliness, and ensure the bar remains fully operational throughout service. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stock and replenish bar inventory including liquor, mixers, ice, glassware, garnishes, and disposables
- Assist bartenders by preparing workstations and ensuring all supplies are available before and during service
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including trash removal and dish clearing
- Support compliance with health and safety standards and venue-specific protocols
- Communicate effectively with the beverage team to anticipate and respond to bar needs
- Assist with bar breakdown, inventory restocking, and closing duties
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a hospitality, event, or bar setting preferred but not required
- Ability to lift up kegs and stand for extended periods
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Dependable, professional, and able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be at least 18 years old
Salary: $15/hour plus Tips
