SR. TAX RELIEF
INTERMITTENT TECHNICAL
COLLECTOR OF REVENUE
St. Charles County Collector of Revenue is hiring a seasonal Notary Public to assist with the Seniors Real Estate Property Tax Relief program.
Salary: $17.49 per hour
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responds to inquiries from walk-in customers and provides and records information as appropriate.
- Greets and assists customers face to face.
- Must hold valid Notary Certificate along with required Notary Bond through entirety of assignment.
- Verify the identity of customers who need notary services and ensure the accuracy of documents prior to notarization.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations related to the notarization of documents.
- Performs data entry into senior tax relief database and ancillary files.
- Assists in processing documents submitted by mail, drop box and/or online.
- Stuffs envelopes, verifies and tracks information, organizes files and data, makes copies, files, sends e-mails, research computer records and websites.
- Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude with customers.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Job Experience
- 1-3 years preferred.
Certifications
- Valid Notary Public certification required.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of notary laws and regulations.
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Employment is contingent on successfully passing a full criminal background check.
Requires successful completion of the Basic clerical skill testing:
- Data Entry
- Microsoft Outlook
- Customer Service
