Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Architecture Intern to support our team with field documentation, technical research, BIM workflows, and project coordination. This internship offers hands-on experience in architectural practice, including site surveys, laser scanning, existing-conditions modeling, construction documentation, and restoration-related project support.
Internship Details
- Pay: $20 per hour
- Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
- Location: In person – Midtown New York, NY
Responsibilities
- Assist with site visits to document and photograph existing conditions.
- Support field surveys, laser scanning, and point cloud file organization / registration workflows.
- Assist with Revit modeling, existing-conditions drawings, and design / technical documentation.
- Conduct property, zoning, code, and building research.
- Help prepare presentations, reports, and project documentation packages.
- Organize field notes, photographs, scan files, and supporting project records.
- Support project managers with project tracking, document coordination, and follow-up tasks.
- Assist with general office and project-related tasks in a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture or Engineering (Structural Focused)
- Basic familiarity with Revit required; experience with point clouds, laser scanning, or existing-conditions modeling is a plus.
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
- Interest in building restoration, preservation, technical documentation, and field-based architectural work.
- Willingness to work both in the office and on job sites as needed.
- Positive attitude, curiosity, and ability to follow direction while learning quickly.
