About the Role
We’re looking for a talented video editor to transform candid, guest-shot 4K camcorder footage into a 3–7 minute wedding highlight video that captures the energy, emotion, and spontaneity of the day.
Unlike traditional wedding films, our videos are fast-paced, fun, and authentic — think dance floor chaos, inside jokes, and real moments over posed shots. You’ll be working with raw, handheld footage and shaping it into a compelling, story-driven edit.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit 4K camcorder footage into a 3–7 minute highlight video
- Craft engaging, upbeat narratives from candid, guest-shot clips
- Select and sync music to match the energy and tone of the footage
- Color correct and stabilize handheld footage as needed
- Deliver polished, high-quality edits within agreed turnaround times
- Collaborate with our team to align with brand style and feedback
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
- Strong storytelling and pacing instincts
- Experience editing event, wedding, or party-style footage
- Ability to work with imperfect, handheld footage and make it feel cohesive
- Strong music selection and audio editing skills
- Portfolio demonstrating relevant editing work (required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with candid or documentary-style editing
- Familiarity with fast-paced, social-media-friendly editing styles
- Ability to deliver edits quickly without sacrificing quality
Compensation & Work Structure
- Per-project contract work (rate discussed during hiring)
- Ongoing work available for strong performers
- Typical edit time: ~8–10 hours per video
