Senior AI & Automation Lead Internship

We’re looking for an AI & Automation Lead to join our team in-office in Los Angeles. This is a high-impact, highly visible role reporting directly to and working side-by-side with the founder. You will own our AI transformation strategy from discovery through execution — identifying opportunities, building solutions, and creating a culture of continuous improvement powered by AI.

This is not a purely theoretical or advisory role. We want someone who will get into the details of our business, understand how work actually gets done, and build real tools and processes that have measurable impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Audit existing workflows and identify high-value opportunities for AI and automation
  • Design, build, and deploy AI-powered tools and integrations (using platforms like OpenAI, Claude, Make, Zapier, n8n, or similar)
  • Partner with team leads across departments to embed AI into day-to-day operations
  • Evaluate and recommend AI vendors, software, and platforms relevant to our business
  • Train and upskill staff to confidently use AI tools in their work
  • Measure and report on the ROI of AI initiatives
  • Stay current on the AI landscape and bring new ideas to leadership regularly

What We’re Looking For

  • Demonstrated track record of building and deploying AI solutions (show us what you’ve built)
  • Hands-on experience with workflow automation tools (Make, Zapier, n8n) and AI APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
  • Ability to write scripts or lightweight code (Python, JavaScript) is a strong plus
  • Exceptional communication skills — you can explain AI to a non-technical audience clearly and without condescension
  • Strategic thinker who can also execute — you don’t just identify problems, you solve them
  • Los Angeles-based and available to work in-office
